“You will go far with CTR.”-Mr.Haymore

The statement is telling you that being a CTR person will bring you great achievements in life.  Although not being a CTR person will cause you to not do good in life. Such as doing drugs or selling them, will land you in jail. On the other hand being a CTR person means that you will never have to be afraid of being caught or worry you are putting your life in danger. Being a CTR person means getting all A’s and B’s. This means you don’t have to stress about not being able to get into a college because you were a CTR person who studied did all your homework and got all A’s and B’s. People who choose the right are going to achieve many great things in life because good karma will come to them. You can’t just be a CTR person every other day, you must be one every single day. Even if you feel like choosing the wrong. If everyone you is choosing the wrong then stand alone and choose the right. It will keep you safe.

Class Evaluation

 My favorite thing about this class was the Code Studio. I found it really fun and it kept me occupied when I was done with everything. I also liked that each time we came we had a new student success statement and we learned about different stories of people doing the right thing. I also like how we got to see how some people choose the wrong and got caught doing it. I liked that this class kept reminding me to always choose the right. I will always be a CTR person because of this class.

 What I disliked about this class was the Khan Academy lessons. They were too long and boring. I also disliked having to write reflections about our student success statement every time we had this class. Although I liked hearing the student success statements and watching people’s stories.

 I recommend next year we should be allowed to choose our own seats for at least the for semester and see how it works out. I suggest this because it makes us feel more comfortable in this class sitting next to a person I know. Other than that I have no other recommendations.

 A highlight for me in this class was that I actually learned how to code somewhat. The code studio really helped me. It had information videos plus it was like playing games but with coding. I now feel like I want to continue coding because of code studio.

 I believe that most days I did my best. Most days I would come in here and somehow have so much to write in my student success statements and I would find the stories about other people life interesting. I would give this class my 100 percent. Although on other days I would come in here but have no idea what to write it would be really hard to think of what to write. So I would think on those days I would give it my 70 percent effort.

 I read my Life Planning Goals journal almost everyday. Although some days I forget to because I am at school almost all day because of practice. I believe that my life planning goals journal is hs helped me complete so many goals that I would have never completed if I didn’t have it. It’s also helped me keep my priorities organized. Always in the past I would say I wanted to do something but then forget because I didn’t write it down. But now I have them all written down and I can get it done.

 I am committed to being a CTR person because choosing the right is something I want to do always. My parents expect me to be a CTR person and I want to make them proud.

The statement is telling you that the best choice is to always choose the right. Even if you feel like the right choice will turn everyone against you. For instance. if athletes are using steriods, they are not only putting their life in danger but also putting their team at risk. And the coach knows that his athletes are using steriods and does nothing. But you know too and it doesn't fell right to you. Either you tell your teammates that are using the steriods to stop and they listen, or you have to tell administration. Although you may feel like telling the administraion is not a choice because everyone will hate you, it is the right thing to do. Choosing the right will never make you have regrets that you will carry with you forever. It brings happiness to you and the people around you. Choosing the right is being loyal, patient, caring , kind, friendly, responsible, honest, grateful, respectful, humble and hard-working. It is not impatient, disrespectful, rude, uncooperate, lazy, unkind. smoking, drugs, alcohol and hateful.

Cardiologist

Cardiologist

I chose this topic because just yesterday I saw a movie that involved oneof the main characters as a cardiologist. The movie wasn't about cardiologist but it just got me thinking about them and how to become one. I got thinking about that because the guy who is a cardiologist is a crazy man and I just wonder how he was able to get a licnese. Even though I know it's just a movie and it is made up it got me thinking about cardiologist.

A cardiologist is a doctor with special training and skill in finding, treating and preventing diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Cardiologist recieve extensive education, including years of medical school and three years of training in general internal medicine. After this a cardiologist spends three or more years in specialized training. Cardiology is a branch of medicne dealing with disorders of the heart as well as parts of the circulatory system. Cardiologist work any many diffetrent places some in special training interest may work in universities where their duties also include research and patient care. There are other cardiologist on staff in the Veterns Administration hospitals and in the Armed Forces.

Beautiful Character

“If there is beauty in the character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world. Conclusion: If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.”

This statement is trying to inform people on how we can have peace in the world. It all starts with having a beautiful character. That means being honest, responsible and respectful. That will bring peace to in your home which means no problems. Then it’s most likely you will treat other people who don’t live in your house caring and respectfully. That causes other people to treat others with caring and respect. Soon everyone will be treating everyone the way they are supposed to. That brings order to the nation.Having the nations at peace means no conflict and that means no wars. That means peace in the world. It all starts with individuals having a beautiful character.

Yoga Therapist

Yoga Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved  health and well-being through the applications of the teachings and practices of Yoga.

Salary:

Yoga Therapist make a median wage of $40,970.

Education:

Yoga therapist are well trained in many areas health therapy, healing and overall health. They must go through a YTT and other trainings with a minimum of 500 hours of instruction.

Demand for this education:

Demand expected to grow 24 percent through 2020.

Reflection:

I would consider becoming a Yoga Therapist because it sounds interesting.

The statement compares someone without goals in life is like a ship without a rudder. The person won’t be able to function as properly compared to having goals that steer them in the right direction. The right goals make a person go in the right direction. Such as having a goal to become a doctor. You will have to study, get good grades, go to college maybe even medical school. That is the right way to head.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend I mostly stayed in and watched movies with my family. I had a volleyball tournament at El Camino College on Saturday. Although we only won ⅓ games, I still think we did good. It was our last tournament for club, so it was a kinda a special day. Although we would see each other on Tuesday for practice, for our actual season.  I didn’t meet anyone new I just spent Sunday with my family and Monday doing my homework. The movies my family and I watched were Get Out, Fantastic Beast and other I can’t remember the name too. I was kinda like family night.

Forgive

“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.”-Alan Paton

The statement explains that forgiveness is the first step to recover. If something tragic in your life happens and you feel as if someone’s to blame, you should try and forgive them. Not forgiving them will only lead you to bitterness. You will never feel satisfied with their consequence. For instance, your dog got lost because your sister was being careless and left the gate door open. You can always be angry at her for losing your dog that has been with you for years and was like family or you can forgive her. It’s better to be happy and talking to someone then having to hate them.

Do Right

“Dare to do right.”-Rex D. Pinegar

The statement want you to only take on dare’s that do the right thing. Such as if someone dares you to do all your homework for one week right after school. You must take on that dare because it’s a dare that makes you choose the right. Although if someone dares you to jump off a cliff that you know is dangerous. You shouldn’t do it because you are not being courageous if you jump off that cliff you are being reckless. You are just putting your life in danger.If you say no to the dare you are being more brave than actually accepting the dare because you are saying no to people and being at risk of being fun off. And that is what people are truly afraid of being made fun of.

“Dare to stand alone.”-Thomas S. Monson

The statement is telling you to stand alone if necessary. If everyone around you is choosing the wrong don’t follow in their lead and you should do whats right. For instance, your best friend and let’s say your only friend decides to drink alcohol and starts to hang with the wrong crowd. You can feel her distancing from you and the only way for you to stop feeling that distance is to start drinking alcohol and hanging with her and the wrong crowd. You shouldn’t feel that you should do that at all just keep a friend. You shouldn’t be afraid to stand alone. If you feel as if everyone is making the wrong choice then you shouldn’t go along with the choice others make just because everyone's making that choice and you think you should go along because everyone is going along. If you believe strongly it’s the right choice then you should not be afraid to stand alone.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical therapists are highly-educated, licensed health care professionals who help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility. In many cases they reduce the need of expensive surgery and long-term use of prescription medication and their side effects.

Salary:

Median salary of $85,000.

Education:

All physical therapists must receive a graduate degree from an accredited physical therapist program before taking the national license exam that allows them to practice.

Demand for this education:

There is a high demand for physical therapist in the workforce. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of physical therapists is expected to grow 36 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Reflection: I would like to become a physical therapist because it is a job that helps people.

The statement explains that if you have goals and try your best to accomplish your goals by choosing the right then everything good that is supposed to happen will happen. Your goals must be the correct goals such as going to college. Not goals like drinking 10 beers and not getting drunk. You also have to try your best to complete your goals. Such as if your goal is to go to college then you must get good grades. You shouldn’t  have your goal to be to go to college and then be failing every class. Doing the right thing means you’re going to succeed. Doesn’t mean you’ll be extremely rich, it means you will succeed in being a good person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A person trained to to give guidance on personal, social, or psychological problems.

Salary:

Average Salary of $42,250.

Education:

Most schools begin with a bachelor’s degree such as counseling, education, or psychology. You will also need a  masters degree in school counseling and education psychology.

Demand for this education:

The demand for this profession is projected to grow 19 percent from 2014-2024.

Reflection:

I would like to become a counselor because i like to help people.

The statement explains what you must do to succeed. The first tip tells you to work hard. This tip is important because you can’t expect everything to come to you without you working hard. The second tip is to follow your passion. This is important because you can’t succeed in something you have no interest. You won’t wanna try your best/ The third is to not chase after money. Money can’t be the most important thing in the world for you. Happiness has to be and money can bring happiness. It can only bring luxuries but it can’t bring happiness. Do something that makes you happy not for the money. The last tip is to serve others. You must do good things for others. Karma will reach you, you do something good for someone. Someone will do something good for you.

The statement explains that the value is more important that money, love and happiness.It keeps a person to always choose the right. Although what keeps a person from choosing value is their feelings. Such as a lying. You lie because either you don't feel like telling the truth or you don't wanna hurt the other persons feeling. Although moral value keeps you from lying. Such as you know that lying is bad and if you follow your moral value than you will never lie.

The statement explains that the best and right thing to do is always choose the right. Even when the wrong decision seems tempting. For instance, a person in front of you may have dropped 5 dollars and not noticed. You have two choices to not tell them anything and keep the money or tell them they dropped their 5 dollars and give them their money. The right choice would be to tell them that they dropped their 5 dollars but the wrong choice may be tempting. Maybe it may seem to you that it isn't a lot of money and they can get 5 dollars somewhere else but just because it doesn't seem like a lot of money to you it isn't the right choice.
